Who I AM

Well, if you’ve found this link, you’re probably just a little curious about me. I’ve written this page a few times and will continue to tweak it when called.

My life path has always funnelled me towards the esoteric and a deep communion with the Divine. An ‘energy junky’ I resonate with spirit first. Willing to follow the flow wherever it leads I have gravitated to many modes of study within the Spiritual realm. In my home life, I am a teacher, student, wife, and most importantly a mother… but as many of us, I hold multiple titles and currently use some for teaching Reiki, Akashic Records and Intuitive Classes on energy work; lately, I’ve been playing with artistic expression and watching what bubbles up from deep within.

I believe that old paradigms must fall away in order for humanity to grow. I follow my intuition and allow myself to be funnelled into situations by Spirit. I am deeply earnest in the expression of this and committed to the larger picture. Without honest excavation of our own minds, how can we have deeper connections, more meaningful lives and uplift each other?

Moving within the ebb and flow of all things I am continually surprised at what is brought my way. I’m currently immersed in the energy of the Divine Feminine, listening to a call that is softening me from the inside out. Beyond the energy work I do, I host a women’s circle that allows women a safe space to sink into their bodies and surface their own truths authentically and without judgment. This honour is my greatest passion.

Learning to slow down and really listen from a deeper place has opened me up to deeper nuance here in the physical world, but ultimately I was born knowing that we are more than these bodies and need a language to express that part of us.

If you’re still curious about me, get really quiet. Bring yourself into the room, all parts of you. Come back into your body fully. Breathe in and blow out. Sink into the moment, feel your chest rise and fall. Breathe into the heart. Intend to open yourself up to experience. Sink a little deeper. Breathe in and blow out. Find that place in you that is stillness and expand it. Step into that stillness and that’s where I AM.

Awesome. I re-write my about page often as well, and think of it more as an autobiography in progress…

I’m curious about your thoughts one healing? I met someone on the streets once who said she was a “Reiki Healer,” although she suffered from many physical ailments including MS, so I am not quite sure as to the effectiveness of her practice. What do you think?

    • Hi! I love your question, there is so much in it.

Reiki is billed-out as a “Healing Art” … it gives people the idea that there is no inner work involved, you go to a “Healer” and are “Healed” just like modern medicine.
Energy is more complicated and much deeper than that. While I have seen some amazing things come out of a Reiki Healing, I have also encountered nothing (in the physical at least).

So, I’ve come to look at Reiki as a Spiritual Path. A way to know myself deeply, and extend that knowing to others. If change follows that’s just a bonus, whats amazing is that change occurs when a person is willing to look at 5 Key areas in their life. In the Legend of Reiki we call them The 5 Principals … in order for real change to happen, the person who is looking to be healed must adopt a new way of looking at the world.

      Just for Today …

      I will not worry
      I will not be angry
I will do my work honestly
I will give thanks for my many blessings
and I will be kind to my neighbors and all living things

not a bad way to look at the world.

P.S. There are a lot of ‘wounded healers’ on the path, it is my opinion that Reiki Healers and even the Reiki Master/Teachers are all works in progress. Mastery means that they are in it for the long haul, and in ‘Mastery’ of the Self. Deep inner work is happening on all levels for each of us who walk this path and even a healer that doesn’t look like they can heal themselves will attract the perfect ‘clients’ for their own journey. This path is not for every one, as the layers of our deep inner work will be brought to the surface.

Hi! I just found your blog and think it’s wonderful 🙂 I feel I’m on the same path as well and I just started my blog, I’m currently sharing my experience on my spiritual journey (I’m still understanding about the feminine and masculine energies within us) I can’t wait to read more ^_^ many blessings to you!

  4. As someone who practices and shares Reiki often, it is important to be careful what words we choose when explaining. I like that you are taking the time to be aware of how you come across to others with questions. Thank you for honoring energy and respecting the magic.
