“The Tao is never hurried
And yet nothing is left undone.”
~ Lao Tzu
One of the first practices I learned when slipping inside the feminine energy was to slow down. Slow way down.
Just when I thought I had it, I realized I was only touching the surface.
Slowing down puts us in touch with the natural flow of energy. Time loses meaning and ceases to exist, and suddenly everything that we need to get done is taken care of with ease. The amazing part is, when you learn to move in your life from this place, you suddenly have more space than you expected to experience.
Sinking deeper into the moment actually open up ‘no time’ the place of BEING we are all striving to reach. We have all experienced ‘no time’ when we are doing something we really love and find that we slip inside time. When we let our self slip into timelessness we practice being in the now. The benefit of this is we find more presence, deeper connection and expanded understanding.
Training yourself to slow down opens up layers of feeling within the body that can offer you insight into your deepest longings. No fancy gadgets or trippy music is required. Simply breath into the body while you’re sitting here, while you’re going about your day. Breath into your chest, your solar plexus and anything else you feel called to notice in the moment and simply watch what happens. If you have a long TO DO list, breath into what needs to get done and pay attention to how you feel. Flow from one thing to the next in the way that calls to you.
In the occasions that you have free time, take this practice into your play. Pay attention to how you are feeling, smile into the moment and breathe deeper. Let the joy of freedom move through your body as you feel the pleasure of what you are doing. There is magic in awareness and it permeates the undercurrent of your natural flow.
