Last night while meditating one word floated into my head as I slipped down into silence.
By it’s very definition it is to “voluntarily cease to keep or claim; to give up”
It was as though my mind was whispering “What would you have to relinquish to gain everything? What sort of surrender would have to touch your core?”
As I sat there, only one word came forward to answered the question. I’m willing to bet it would be a collective word, for who hasn’t felt it’s effects from one time or another?
Even as you move closer to what you are wanting old beliefs and patters come back testing your new convictions. The key, as you chose to move forward is recognizing that beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking.
The lesson from Sadhana this morning was a perfect mirror for last night, taking me deeper into that word, the most important words came from Chameli Ardagh, when she wrote,
“…the beliefs have no real weight, nor any real meaning other than what you make them into. No need to make a negative belief into a positive one–
just see it for what it is, experience, and let it go...”
Experience everything, and relinquish.
