A Celebration of Woman

Hybrid water lily, Louisville, Kentucky Nympheaceae spp.

With yesterday being International Women’s Day, I was sitting in the energy of how amazing women are, we are powerful creatures. Creative, sensual, nurturing, fierce, allowing, fluid and magical…women in their true form are all these things and more.

As a collective, we are remembering the things that have been blocked out, and are empowering each other in grass-roots and international ways to flourish and bloom once again.

I’ve written about the wave sweeping the world before, the collective is like a roaring bonfire, blazing, wild and untamed as it finds its foot-hold in the world.

Woman is the light of God.
~ Rumi

There isn’t one of us who was born without a mother, that alone is enough to celebrate the creative force of the female form. While the masculine undeniably contributes, we have long revered the masculine and ignored the power of the feminine. I long for a world that is in balance, where the genders are not polarized in a never-ending competitive dance. I’m not sure the world has ever seen the balance I long for, where alignment and mutual respect are the cornerstones of how humans operate…but everyone has to have a dream.

In order to do that, I believe women have to recognize the power that is born inside them, embrace it fully and become its student without agenda. They need to become fluent in their Kali Roar when called to and become OK with that power. The Divine Feminine is here to restore balance, celebrate an aspect of Source in a focused way. Each of us has the masculine and feminine aspects inside our subtle energy, the gender we identify with is our focus for this human experience. But ultimately, there is only oneness,  and those parts of us are entwined together. Now it’s time to make it a physical reality.

Q: Why do you write strong female characters? A: Because you’re still asking me that question. -Joss Whedon

About Goddess in the Belly

Me? I'm one of the many bridges between two worlds. Blogging is a creative outlet for this energy to express itself. I believe nothing happens without vibration alignment, that we are continually creating as we go. Everything on these pages stems from my deep knowing that as we share honestly we transform the collective for the better.
