Our Inner Guide

inner knowing

Each of us have an inner guide that we carry. Not many of us are taught to listen to it accurately. Society has moved away from the inner mysteries in lieu of what can be seen with regular eyes and what can be tested with the scientific method.

It is not something magical that is outside of yourself, you are born with inner knowing. It is like a second figure in the background noise of your mind and body. There are times when this inner voice gets loud and we become reluctant to trust its counsel because we are used to listening to our cues from the outside.

If you let it, the truth of your inner knowing will show you where to go and when to trust that guidance you are being given.

It speaks in whispers, and sometimes these whispers are hard to connect with. Hesitation can creep in as we second guess this knowing, often we dismiss the information, fearing we may not have understood correctly, or that we have made it up. When you are unsure, pause, get still and ask for more guidance, it always comes. Nothing real is ever lost and no opportunity is ever wasted. The best part of being in this world is we can’t get it wrong.

When the promptings from your inner guide are clear, trust in the inner guidance and you will feel more whole, more aligned, and centered. The larger part of you wants to connect, if you go with it, the light of truth and clarity will carry you exactly where you need to go.

If you are not naturally listening to your inner guide you may find that life is like an upstream paddle, things are a little harder. By slowing down, getting quite, and surrendering into that stillness, it becomes easier for that clarity to be present. Your next move becomes natural, unforced and perfect.
